Kombucha at Minority Space Vernissage

As Minority Space’s inaugural group exhibition, ‘A Flat Pack Life?’ takes the space’s original function and construction - a modernised living room located in a rapidly developing area in Beijing where urbanisation and gentrification are significantly taking place - as a point of departure. A modern interior is widely defined by the varied manufactured appliances and furnitures inside the household courtesy of the advent of industrialisation and mass production. The ready-to-assemble or plat pack product, emblematically mastering by IKEA, has established a certain aesthetics and lifestyle.
